A School in the Rainforest

Hello Manchester community,

I’m Veronica, a PhD student in the AMP (Anthropology, Media and Performance) programme. I’ve just returned from doing fieldwork with the indigenous Huni Kuin community in the Amazon rainforest.

Malnutrition and deforestation are some of the biggest threats in the region. My friend Kawá Huni Kuin has started a campaign to build a school devoted to educate and inform his community on these issues. Please help Kawá’s cause by either donating or disseminating this campaign to your friends and family. Every little bit helps.

Haux, haux! viva,viva!
