Please find attached placement opportunities that are available this month:

  1. Department for Business, Innovation, Education and Skills

There is an exciting opportunity to work with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) on the Shared Parental Leave evaluation due to take place next year. The placement will take place in London starting in February for three months.  For further details, please contact Dr Emma Banister emma.banister@manchester.ac.uk in the first instance.

  1. Cabinet Office’s Open Innovation Team

This is a great opportunity to gain experience of working at the heart of policymaking and to establish contacts within the Open Innovation Team.  The placements are for three months and will take place in London.  A full Faculty bursary will be paid for any successful Faculty students.  The deadline for applications is the 24 January 2019. 

  1. Citizens Advice Greater Manchester

CAGM is working on a number of projects in the region with organisations including Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Manchester City Council and there are opportunities to contribute to their research.  There is no specific deadline for these placements.

  1. Charter Street Mission

This is an opportunity to take a short placement reviewing the archives for the Charter Street Mission in order to provide recommendations and an outline of storylines relating to the Mission and related heritage sites in Manchester.
