by | Feb 15, 2019 | Calls for paper | 0 comments

HistFest is Lancaster University’s annual postgraduate history conference taking place on 14th and 15th June 2019. Each year we invite postgraduates from Lancaster’s history department and other history departments across the country to attend and present papers on their current research.

This year we shall have key note presentations by Professor Aristotle Kallis from Keele University and Dr Joanna Taylor from University of Manchester, with an accompanying exhibition at the Ruskin Centre.

We welcome proposals for individual papers and complete panels from all areas of historical research that relate to the theme of historical transitions. It provides an opportunity for current post grads to showcase and develop their work to a friendly academic audience. We would invite all MAs and PhD students with an interest in presenting at this years event to submit an abstract of no more than 250 words with an accompanying short statement of your current research and academic areas of interest.

The deadline for abstracts is 12 April 2019.

Booking information for the event is to follow.

All submissions to be emailed to histfest2019@gmail.com
