Dear PGR Students

Please find attached some placement opportunities with the following organisations:

RECLAIM

RECLAIM is a youth leadership and social change organisation.  It is a small charity which uses its experience and platform to support and amplify the voices of working class young people.  It is offering two placements, the first involves looking for students who can help to measure its impact on a range of stakeholders and the second to provide support in measuring the cost benefit of some the investment made by some of its funders.  A Faculty bursary is payable for these placements.

Manchester Tramway Society

Manchester Transport Museum Society Ltd is based in Heaton Park and is now looking for someone to research into the forgotten history of the tramway covering a period between 1902 and 1930s.  The Tramway Society has a particular interest in looking at the people who built, maintained, operated and used the Tramway within the broader context of social history at that time and also to investigate the parallels in these events and the re-birth of the Tramways in the 1990s.  A Faculty bursary is payable for this placement.

If you are interested in applying for these placements, please contact Carole Arrowsmith: email: Carole.Arrowsmith@manchester.ac.uk
