Opportunity for PhDs to meet World Bank (careers session)

The World Bank Group will be visiting AMBS on Tuesday 14 May at 5.30pm in Pod A (2.065 AMBS) for a discussion on careers for young professionals

The event will introduce early career opportunities to highly skilled and motivated postgraduate students and alumni from various fields of study interested in a career in international development and will showcase the Young Professionals Program (YPP), the World Bank’s flagship program for recruiting top talent.

The World Bank Group is one of the world’s largest sources of funding and knowledge for developing countries. Its five institutions share a commitment to reducing poverty, increasing shared prosperity, and promoting sustainable development.

It is formed by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the International Development Association (IDA), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).

Our staff work with governments, civil society groups, the private sector and others in developing countries around the world, assisting people in all areas of development, from policy and strategic advice to the identification, preparation, appraisal and supervision of development projects
