The Graduate School will offer a limited number of Language Bursaries for those of you wishing to take a language course through the University Language Centre in 2019-2020 in support of your PhD.

Bursaries are aimed at students in their first and second year (or equivalent part-time) who need additional language proficiency for their research and/or fieldwork.

The School can help to fund a language course for one semester. Funding for full year courses may be considered. Bursaries cannot be used for English language courses.

Please remember to ensure your supervisor completes the relevant section, explaining how a language course would facilitate your research.
