The Sexuality Summer School is a week-long event comprised of a series of workshops for 40 postgraduate students, alongside a public arts events programme open to all.

Public Event 1

Opening Public Lecture: ‘Indigestion: Transsexuality and the Queer Aversion to Identity’ 

Kadji Amin (Emory University)

Venue: SALC Graduate School, University of Manchester (free and all welcome)

Public Event 2

Film screening: Rebel Dykes (2021, dir. by Harri Shanahan and Siân A. Williams)

followed by Q&A with Siobhan Fahey (Rebel Dykes producer)

Public Event 3

Public Performance Lecture: ‘Category Error’, mandla rae (Manchester-based poet, producer, programmer, facilitator and theatre maker)

Public Event 4

Performance Lecture: ‘Ejaculation Falls’, Essi Rossi

(in collaboration with S!CK Festival)

Public Event 6

Book launch and roundtable: Feeling Queer Jurisprudence: Injury, Intimacy, Identity, 2020) by Senthorun Raj (Manchester Metropolitan University)
