Industrial collaborations\u00a0<\/h2>\n
To date our collaborations with industry have involved both the virtual and physical hubs. In the physical hub, sponsored research typically involves the experimental systems that we have developed for Alport syndrome research.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Experimental systems used to investigate Alport syndrome:<\/h3>\n
- \n
- established models of Alport syndrome in kidney organoids (cell basement membranes) zebrafish (drug screening) and mouse models (Alport syndrome);\u00a0<\/li>\n
- state-of-the-art in vivo<\/em> and in vitro<\/em> approaches with advanced imaging;\u00a0<\/li>\n
- detailed analysis of basement membrane function;\u00a0<\/li>\n
- a platform for the screening and testing of existing drugs, gene therapy effectiveness or potential new targets.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
