We are delighted that a fund has been established in the School of Medical Sciences (SMS) to support care provider costs associated with participation at conferences, training events or professional development activities. \u00a0Many members of staff and PGR students have caring responsibilities or disabilities that can make attending conferences or training courses difficult,\u00a0due to difficulty in carer-arrangements and\/or financial implications. SMS recognises that attendance at these events is important for career development and progression.<\/p>\n
This Carer Support Fund will provide financial assistance to colleagues in SMS (academic, research, PS staff and PGR students) who wish to attend an appropriate event by providing up to \u00a3400 towards the cost of additional carer support.<\/p>\n
