The 12-minute documentary\u00a0Detr\u00e1s del Sur: Danzas Para Manuel. Pr\u00e1cticas Art\u00edsticas Antirracistas<\/em><\/a>\u00a0made during the CARLA project,\u00a0under the artistic direction of Rafael Palacios Callejas, with script and research by Carlos Correa Angulo, has been included in the official selection for the section “Vanguardias Afro<\/a>” in the Festival Internacional de Cine de Cali, October 2024. The documentary shows the dance company rehearsing for and talking about a dance performance called Detr\u00e1s del Sur<\/em> (Behind the South), which is a homage to the Afro-Colombian writer, Manuel Zapata Olivella. The video was supported by the CARLA Project, in alliance with the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo, Plu con Pl\u00e1, the Jos\u00e9 Guti\u00e9rrez G\u00f3mez Metropolitan Theatre, the Fundaci\u00f3n Escuela Folcl\u00f3rica del Pac\u00edfico Sur Tumac, the 14th Book and Culture Festival, Wangari Afro-contemporary dance, and the Nuevo Horizonte School of Music (Tumaco).<\/p>\n

El documental de 12 minutos Detr\u00e1s del Sur: Danzas Para Manuel. Pr\u00e1cticas Art\u00edsticas Antirracistas<\/em><\/a> realizada durante el proyecto CARLA, bajo la direcci\u00f3n art\u00edstica de Rafael Palacios Callejas, con gui\u00f3n e investigaci\u00f3n de Carlos Correa Angulo, ha sido incluida en la selecci\u00f3n oficial de la secci\u00f3n \u201cVanguardias Afro<\/a>\u201d del Festival Internacional de Cine de Cali, octubre de 2024. El documental muestra a la compa\u00f1\u00eda de danza ensayando y hablando sobre un performance de danza llamado Detr\u00e1s del Sur, que es un homenaje al escritor afrocolombiano Manuel Zapata Olivella. El video cont\u00f3 con el apoyo del Proyecto CARLA, en alianza con el Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo, Plu con Pl\u00e1, el Teatro Metropolitano Jos\u00e9 Guti\u00e9rrez G\u00f3mez, la Fundaci\u00f3n Escuela Folcl\u00f3rica del Pac\u00edfico Sur Tumac, el 14\u00b0 Festival del Libro y la Cultura, Wangari Afro- danza contempor\u00e1nea, y la Escuela de M\u00fasica Nuevo Horizonte (Tumaco).<\/p>\n
