What we know<\/h2>\n

Throughout the course of the pandemic, researchers from both inside and out of the PROTECT study have worked to better understand the nature of COVID-19 and transmission of the virus.<\/p>\n

As more evidence has emerged, we have been able to pull together a series of statements which capture the essence of the scientific findings. These are categorised into \u201chigh\u201d and \u201cmedium\u201d confidence.<\/p>\n

High confidence statements indicate those which are widely agreed to be scientifically accurate.<\/p>\n

Medium confidence statements, whilst generally agreed upon, are taken from emerging knowledge and require more time or testing to be better understood<\/p>\n
