Chair: <\/em>Professor Andrew Curran<\/em><\/a><\/span>, Chief Scientific Adviser, Health and Safety Executive<\/em><\/p>\n This session<\/span><\/a> will showcase work from the PROTECT COVID-19 National Core Study<\/a><\/span> on transmission and environment. Funded by the UK Government and led by the Health and Safety Executive, the PROTECT study is improving our understanding of how the numerous variable factors present in the real world \u2013 from human behaviour to the physical environment \u2013 interact with the COVID-19 virus to influence the rate of transmission. The findings have important implications for the approaches we take to minimise transmission while getting society back closer to \u2018normal\u2019, so this session will be of interest to public health practitioners and policymakers as well as researchers.
