Habilitation is the highest academic qualification that can be achieved in certain countries. The habilitation requires a candidate to write a postdoctoral thesis based on independent scholarly accomplishments. This thesis is reviewed by and defended before an academic committee. In France, the habilitation qualification is referred to as “Habilitation \u00e0 diriger des recherches”<\/em><\/div><\/div>\n

Fabienne, based at the University of Lorraine (Universit\u00e9 de Lorraine)\u00a0<\/em>has recently defended her research Habilitation at the University of Lille (Universit\u00e9 de Lille<\/em>). Fabienne’s habilitation thesis is called “Mobilizing Online during Presidential Elections in France”. Her recent research, included in this thesis, focuses on the political uses of the internet, particularly with regard to online election campaigning and digital activism. It also includes an analysis of online mobilisation efforts during the French presidential campaigns of 2012 and 2017, using an integrative research approach. This approach allows the researcher to consider the influence of the digital platform on how phenomena like mobilisation and party affiliation manifest themselves.<\/p>\n
