Dame Clare Gerada first trained in psychiatry and has a distinguished career as a GP. In addition to her clinical practice, she has held the positions of both the Chair and President of the Royal College of General Practitioners, and is only the second woman in history to hold both positions.<\/p>\n<p>She specialises in mental health and addiction services, and is a driving force for improving wellbeing support for healthcare staff. She founded and, until 2021, led NHS Practitioner Health, a free addiction and mental health primary care service for healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n<p>In this talk, titled &#8216;Confessions of a failed leader&#8217;, Dame Clare Gerada discusses her career, leadership and challenges faced.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The conversation took place on Wednesday 12 February 2025, and you can watch a recording of it below and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/kCJvohhZb0M\">on YouTube<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kCJvohhZb0M?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
