border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h1>Student life as an apprentice<\/h1>\n<p>Life as an apprentice is very different from other forms of higher education, as you are spending a large proportion of your week working (approximately 30 hours), and one day a week studying. This leaves less free time for extra-curricular activities.\u00a0Nevertheless, individuals who do a degree apprenticeship get to take part in other social and networking\u00a0activities, whilst learning in a way that may better suit their learning style and personal goals.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Greater Manchester Higher explain this really well.
