Genome Editing Unit
An expert core research facility based in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health.
Formerly the Transgenic Unit, the Genome Editing Unit (GEU) has grown in recent years to offer expanded gene and genome engineering services to researchers at The University of Manchester, other higher education institutes and industry.
What we do
We apply the latest cutting edge technologies to generate your research models, ranging from cultured cells to whole organisms.
With access to the entire molecular toolbox, and in particular CRISPR-Cas9, we aim to work with you to build better models to truly reflect your biological system of interest.
