Rebekah graduated from Manchester with her BSc Planning and Real Estate<\/a> and decided to stay at the University to do a postgraduate course in Urban Design and International Planning<\/a>. In her blog post she discusses the perks of being a Manchester graduate.<\/p>\n

Highlights of BSc Planning and Real Estate<\/h2>\n

I achieved a first-class in my undergraduate degree after 3 years of hard work and fun along the way! My best memories of the course included the first-year field trip to Buckshaw village and Lancaster Co-housing; a semester studying in Arizona, US<\/a>; as well as collecting research for my dissertation. I also ought to mention that due to COVID restrictions, my year group was unfortunately unable to take the field trip to Portugal in 2nd year of the course.\"Female<\/p>\n

The BSc Planning and Real Estate programme is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and partially accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) which makes it a very employable degree.<\/p>\n

FastTrack Admissions<\/h2>\n

In my final year of my undergraduate programme, I was offered a fast-track route onto select postgraduate courses as I was on track to achieve a good result in my degree. This meant that I could bypass the usual application process. At the time it was a hard decision to choose a selected course, so I gave an option of 4 and I was offered conditional offers for them.<\/p>\n

Alumni fee discount<\/h2>\n

My decision to take further study at the University became even easier when I received my 1st class degree result. This meant that I was entitled to a \u00a33000 discount on my postgraduate tuition fee as well as the fast track.\"Students<\/p>\n

MSc Urban Design and International Planning<\/h2>\n

Meeting the conditional offers of the selected courses, I then had to choose which one I was going to take. After further exploring the course details for each programme I decided that urban design would suit me best, especially for my future career opportunities. I am currently enjoying this urban design and planning master\u2019s and I am confident that I will gain the skills needed to specialise in urban design after graduating.<\/p>\n
