Why did you choose to study this master\u2019s course at The University of Manchester?<\/strong><\/p>\n

To improve my professional prospects and develop new skills necessary in the rapidly developing field of web GIS.<\/p>\n

How much time do you spend in classes and private study?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I spend much more time in private study. I\u2019d say 85% to 15%.<\/p>\n

What has been the highlight of your course so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The use of various programming languages (Python, JavaScript, R).<\/p>\n

What has been the most challenging part of your course so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It also involves programming languages. It was challenging to develop solutions in the areas where I previously had little experience.<\/p>\n

Have you undertaken any fieldwork as part of your course?<\/strong><\/p>\n

No.<\/p>\n

How would you describe your student experience so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have a good student experience overall. However, I know that it can be better, as I had more exciting student life when I studied in Beijing.<\/p>\n

What is the best thing about living and studying in the city of Manchester?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Exploring the city of Manchester and the opportunities it provides.<\/p>\n

What kind of accommodation do you live in?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I live outside the campus in a flat.<\/p>\n

Do you have any tips for future students?<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you want to have a fun student life you have to take the initiative. Try to explore different events that are planned on the campus, join one of many societies, organise some student parties, etc.<\/p>\n

What are your plans for life after graduation?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I want to find a job in the UK. I know first-hand that having some real world working experience will teach me more than any course at the university.<\/p>\n
