What have you been up to in 2021\/22?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The year at the University of Manchester has been short and lively. I became a campus ambassador at the start of the school year and gained several satisfactory grades in the last semester. I made a lot of good friends who came from all over the world. I made Chinese dumplings with my friends in the UK and celebrated the Lunar New Year together. I also took part in a field trip organised by the college, drove along the NC500 in Scotland with my friends and saw an Ed Sheeran concert.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style>\n\t\t\t#gallery-1 {\n\t\t\t\tmargin: \/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p><strong>Sounds like a packed year! What do you feel has gone well this year?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Despite the pressure of my studies and the heavy task of my course essays, I managed to complete them successfully. I am glad that I have made a group of friends like family in a foreign country, especially after meeting my boyfriend. I ventured out to travel to different cities and explore the local culture. I have also become independent and brave. I also have a clearer idea of what I want to do with my life in the future.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And is there anything that you feel went less well?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My procrastination is still very bad. I get particularly anxious in the week before each assignment is due, but only the last three days of study are more productive. Also, some of the plans I made did not materialise, such as taking part in more voluntary activities and finding a part-time job. Finally, I still don&#8217;t have a clear plan for my career path and I am always deliberately procrastinating about finding a job.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We&#8217;re sure you&#8217;ll crack it. What&#8217;s been your biggest achievement in the past year?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My greatest achievement was having a great group of friends and we spent a happy and short time studying abroad together. Also, I had the privilege of being a campus ambassador for the University of Manchester, which is something I am very proud of.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How has your course shaped your next steps in life?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I studied Human Resource Development and this course broadened my horizons. It also reinforced that my area of interest is in the human resources sector. This background will also help me to find a job when I graduate.<\/p>\n<p>I am grateful for all that I have experienced and gained and even lost at Manchester University. When I first visited Manchester University as a visitor in 2018, I never expected that I would be studying and living here today, four years later. Or even have a year that I have gained so much from. The University of Manchester is more than just a mecca of learning for me, it is a challenge for me in a new phase of my life. I have completed a satisfactory year myself at the University of Manchester.
