What is curriculum design ?
Curriculum design is the purposeful organisation of teaching and learning within a course unit or programme. It provides a way for instructors to plan the what, when and how of teaching and learning.
What is the purpose of curriculum design?
The main objective is to ensure the best learning experience for students enrolled on a course unit or programme, but there may be other reasons to apply curriculum design. For example, purposeful design can help ensure that learning outcomes align to learning activities and assessment, and that there is coherence and progression between course units in a programme.
