Victor Hugo, French novelist and dramatist and author of Les Mis\u00e9rables and The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, was born on this day in 1802. We look back at a 2015 blog post on the John Rylands Library’s Special Collections Blog which describes the The Victor Hugo Papers<\/a>. The Rylands collection is perhaps the richest Victor Hugo collection outside of France and Belgium, and includes more than 1,200 manuscripts and items of correspondence.<\/p>\n
