Online journal club
We host monthly educational activities for our students and researchers about a current topic of interest in audiology with a journal club.
Our journal clubs are an informal forum for discussing a recent pertinent publication. They consist of a short presentation followed by an interactive discussion of thoughts and ideas arising from the paper.

Research Clinical Audiology Papers (Research CAPers) conference.
Based on the considerable positive feedback we have received, we intend to hold a second edition of ManCAD CAPers in 2026.
ManCAD’s inaugural Research CAPers (Clinical Auditory Papers) conference took place on 16th and 17th September 2024.
We had 139 attendees originating from 17 countries, 30 universities, and 15 NHS trusts/locations. Over the 2 days there were 25 podium presentations and a poster sesison. Conference registration costs were kept to a minimum, thanks to our sponsors to whom we are extremely grateful: WS Audiology, Sonova, SpecSavers, Interacoustics, NIHR Manchester BRC, and an NIHR Senior Investigator award.
As suggested by a majority of attendees at this meeting, it will focus on two of three specific topics, and will include round table discussions and plenty of time for questions and answers. We hope you will consider joining us then.
