ManCAD CAPers conference (Clinical Audiology Papers) titled \u2018Audiology in a Diverse World\u2019\u00a0<\/h1>\n

Based on the considerable positive feedback we have received, we are going to hold a second edition of ManCAD CAPers in 2026.<\/p>\n

The event will take place on September 10th<\/sup> and 11th<\/sup> 2026 at the Contact Theatre in Manchester – an art space that promotes diversity and that is affiliated with the University of Manchester.<\/p>\n

The meeting will focus on clinical research addressing \u2018Audiology in a diverse world\u2019 including way’s that different languages and dialects affect speech understanding; genetic diversity and gene therapy; consideration of diversity when using AI for hearing care; how culture and background influence the uptake and acceptance of hearing care.<\/p>\n

There will be submitted and invited presentations, a panel discussion with members of local minority communities, and an evening poster session.<\/p>\n

If you are a researcher, audiologist, early career scientist, or student with an interest in clinical audiology please consider attending this event.<\/p>\n

Registration costs will be kept to a minimum and travel scholarships will be available.<\/p>\n

Online journal club<\/h1>\n

We host monthly educational activities for our students and researchers about a current topic of interest in audiology with a journal club.<\/p>\n

Our journal clubs are an informal forum for discussing a recent pertinent publication. They consist of a short presentation followed by an interactive discussion of thoughts and ideas arising from the paper.<\/p>\n

Journal clubs take place on the third\u00a0Friday of each month, 1-2pm. Contact Charlotte Vercammen to join:<\/p>\n
