The national data opt-out is a service that allows patients to stop their confidential patient information being used for any reason other than their own direct care.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The work of the Manchester Self-Harm Project has been assessed as being in the public interest by the Confidentiality Advisory Group of the Health Research Authority. They have recommended that our project be allowed to continue collecting information on individuals even when they have decided to opt out of having their information shared.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
