To help you, the Careers Consultants that link with SALC are running online \u2018drop-in\u2019 careers sessions (dates below) for final year undergraduate students and PGT students.\u00a0 We will be seeing students on a \u2018first come first served\u2019 basis and all you have to do is log-on to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.careerconnect.manchester.ac.uk\">www.careerconnect.manchester.ac.uk<\/a> \u00a0look for the session and make a note of the date and Zoom link.\u00a0\u00a0 You can also register on CareerConnect for the SALC Careers talk and Q&amp;A for final years and PGT students on <strong>Tues 4 May, 12.00-1.30pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Careers Service is available for you to use for up to two years after completing your course and you can book <a href=\"https:\/\/www.careers.manchester.ac.uk\/services\/\">one-to-one appointments<\/a> use the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.careers.manchester.ac.uk\/graduates\/\">careers resources<\/a> and attend our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.careers.manchester.ac.uk\/events\/\">events<\/a>.\u00a0 Regardless of where you are up to with deciding what to do after your course, we are here to help.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.careers.manchester.ac.uk\/findjobs\/graduatejobs\/mgt\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4286 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.manchester.ac.uk\/salc-students\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/143\/2021\/04\/Manchester-Graduate-Talent.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"296\" height=\"296\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.manchester.ac.uk\/salc-students\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/143\/2021\/04\/Manchester-Graduate-Talent.png 667w, https:\/\/sites.manchester.ac.uk\/salc-students\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/143\/2021\/04\/Manchester-Graduate-Talent-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/sites.manchester.ac.uk\/salc-students\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/143\/2021\/04\/Manchester-Graduate-Talent-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/sites.manchester.ac.uk\/salc-students\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/143\/2021\/04\/Manchester-Graduate-Talent-250x250.png 250w, https:\/\/sites.manchester.ac.uk\/salc-students\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/143\/2021\/04\/Manchester-Graduate-Talent-350x350.png 350w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 296px) 100vw, 296px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Also\u2026.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are running a Final Year future Week \u2013 <strong>Mon 14 \u2013 Fri 18 June<\/strong>. This is an immersive programme of careers support, from employer and alumni panels to careers fairs and workshops.\u00a0 All sessions will be on Zoom.\u00a0 The target audience is Summer 2021 graduates (current finalists and PGTs).\u00a0 However, all students are welcome.\u00a0 Details will be included in the weekly Humanities Career Up-dates and Events email from mid-May.<\/li>\n<li>We are running a session this <strong>Thurs 29 April (12.30-1.30pm)<\/strong> for final year and PGT students with a disability &#8211; \u2018Career Planning with a Disability\u2019 Register <a href=\"https:\/\/careerconnect.manchester.ac.uk\/leap\/event.html?id=531&amp;service=Careers+Service\">here<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.careers.manchester.ac.uk\/findjobs\/graduatejobs\/mgt\/\">Manchester Graduate Talent<\/a> is open for applications. MGT sources paid graduate-level jobs for University of Manchester students graduating in 2021 who would like to work in Greater Manchester.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.careerconnect.manchester.ac.uk\/\">CareerConnect<\/a> is the Careers Service vacancy and events online site and is where you will find a wide range of opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>You can continue to use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.careers.manchester.ac.uk\/applicationsinterviews\/cv\/careerset\/\">CareerSet<\/a> our online CV checker after you have graduated.<\/li>\n<li>You can practise <a href=\"https:\/\/www.careers.manchester.ac.uk\/applicationsinterviews\/psychometric\/\">psychometric tests<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.careers.manchester.ac.uk\/services\/practiceinterviews\/shortlistme\/\">video interviews<\/a> whenever you want.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Dates of careers online \u2018drop-ins\u2019 \u2013 Wed 28 April, 12-1.30pm; Thurs 29 April, 12-1.30pm; Thurs 6 May, 12-1.30pm and Tues 11 May, 12-1.30pm.\u00a0 Details are on <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.careerconnect.manchester.ac.uk\"><strong>www.careerconnect.manchester.ac.uk<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The final stages of your course can leave you feeling busier than ever and short of time.
