About

The aim of our research is to understand the behaviour of engineering structures under different loading conditions and in extreme environments including fire, impact and explosion, shock,  flood, storm and tsunami wave inundation, salt water induced degradation and aggressive environmental exposure. In response we develop advanced models and design methods to achieve safe, sustainable and resilient structures. We also characterise material properties to help improve accuracy and reliability of input data by testing and theoretical insight.
