Foresight-CHAI

(Co-futuring with ‘Collective Human-Artificial Intelligence’)

“1000 days after ChatGPT’s release, how can AI help to study the future, when it is trained on data from the past??”  We put that question to ChatGPT…  “AI studies the future the same way humans do—by learning from the past and applying those lessons to anticipate, simulate, and prepare. The difference is that AI does it with superhuman speed, scale, and consistency.” (see full response – 1000 days after ChatGPT) – So should we look forward to a human future planned with superhuman speed, scale, and consistency????

At a time of intense turbulence & disruption… it’s all the more urgent to find positive ways to look ahead …

Here we are developing a ‘Foresight-CHAI’ (‘collective human-artificial intelligence’) method and process, via experimentation & international collaboration. This aims to combine the power of AI with the potential for CHI (‘collective human intelligence’), i.e. the capacity for mutual sense-making, synergy forming, visioning, collaboration and strategic thinking.  This can apply to almost any human system – social, technical, economic, environmental, political, cultural, urban…

Make It Lovable | Manchester
Saturday 20 June 2026:

This is a free, in-person creative AI build-athon for founders, builders, designers, students, creatives, and curious beginners who want to turn ideas into real prototypes using AI.  The main challenge for attendees is simple: build something that solves a real problem in your daily life.

We are in collaboration with the European Innovation Academy, for a founder session on Problem Definition, Validation & First Sales. With EIA as event partner, one participant is awarded a full scholarship of €2,499 for the EIA tuition program.  The founder is Mindofruba a poetry-driven creative wellbeing platform founded by Ruba Izzeldin, The session is hosted by the CHAI (‘Collective Human Artificial Intelligence’) program, which explores the inter-connections of creativity, foresight and systems transformation in a fast-changing world.

To follow this up we are looking at a next phase which is directly focused on the CHAI agenda: i.e. to start with the potential for ‘collective human intelligence’ on the demand side, and then to facilitate creative app development which can meet that potential.   Again the case study approach would build on the above and look at wider and deeper opportunities, in social, economic, environmental and governance systems.
