Recruiting our case study sites
For the past few months, our research team has been identifying and contacting potential youth work services to take part in the second phase of the Health + Youth Work project. In this second phase, we will select six contrasting youth work services from those who completed our mapping survey, to investigate in depth.
We had roughly 70 sites who were interested in taking part, so our six potential case study sites were identified using a taxonomy produced from the youth work mapping survey results. For example, results from the survey indicated we needed to think carefully about the size of the youth work service, how it was funded and where it was geographically located (e.g., in a town, a city or in a more rural area).
So far we have successfully recruited five of the six youth work services which means the taxonomy produced by our survey will be represented in the diverse characteristics of our chosen case study sites. We are currently recruiting our final site – so watch this space !
More to come in the next few weeks…
