‘The Ghost of the Letter: Corresponding Subjects and Objects’

Join us in the magnificent Historic Reading Room of the John Rylands Library on Deansgate on 11 May 2022 for the annual lecture of the Manchester Centre for Correspondence Studies (MCCS). Hosted by Dr Douglas Field (Manchester), we welcome guest speaker Prof. Hugh Haughton (York) to present ‘The Ghost of the Letter: Corresponding Subjects and Objects’. The evening will include a Q&A with Prof Haughton.

The Manchester Centre for Correspondence Studies (MCCS) brings together academics working on letters across the University of Manchester and beyond, with the goal of consolidating the work already done and further encouraging interdisciplinary cooperation and discussion.

There will be a drinks reception from 5.30 pm with the lecture starting at 6.15pm. Please note the lecture will be recorded.
