Research opportunities

We are interested to receive applications from ambitious individuals keen to pursue research interests in Mechanics and Physics of Solids at The University of Manchester in fields including: 

  • Mechanics of materials, with emphasis on loading and environment effects on damage and fracture

  • Mathematical and numerical methods for analysis of solids and structures

  • Integrated digital engineering applications, with emphasis on HPC, AI & VR
