We are interested to receive applications from ambitious individuals keen to pursue research interests in mechanics and physics of solids at The University of Manchester in fields including:

Mechanics of materials, with emphasis on loading and environment effects on damage and fracture

Mathematical and numerical methods for analysis of solids and structures

Integrated digital engineering applications, with emphasis on HPC, AI & VR
