Dr Kathryn George (pictured), from the UK Nuclear Innovation Programme in Recycle, has recently completed a three month research visit to Idaho National Laboratory in the USA.

She has undertaken experiments on the impact of irradiation dose on the distribution of uranium, zirconium, ruthenium and iodine in advanced PUREX conditions with the assistance of INL scientists Dr Dean Peterman and Dr Peter Zalupski.
