We are interested to receive applications from ambitious individuals keen to pursue research interests in Biomimetics at The University of Manchester in topics including: 

• Biologically inspired jumping robotics – modelling, design and applications
• Machine learning for flight control of agile unmanned aerial vehicles
• Smart hydrodynamic coatings for improved manoeuvring of aquatic robotics
• Virtual and augmented reality approaches to visualising animal flight
• Examining flight evolution through computational modelling and robotics
• Aeroacoustics of flight in birds of prey
