Third Summit Report published
We are delighted to publish our report from the third Mental Health Social Care (MHSC) Summit, held on 21 January 2026.
Following the success of our first two events, we brought together 33 people with an interest in MHSC for a third summit in Manchester. During the summit, participants considered the contribution MHSC can make to the NHS’s strategic shifts towards neighbourhood-based care and prevention, and reflected on the experience, expertise, and evidence needed to support this agenda.
The goals were to strengthen shared understanding of MHSC, identify priorities for developing research capacity, and to help articulate the value of MHSC. The event was a tremendous success, bringing together diverse perspectives, strengthening connections across the MHSC community, and generating important discussion about the future role of MHSC within health and care systems.
