During May and June, the University is promoting ‘Be Healthy’ as one of it’s Six Ways to Wellbeing. Eating healthily and staying hydrated are key to supporting our wellbeing. We know that it’s not always easy to maintain a healthy diet, particularly whilst studying, as research shows that changes to our eating habits are very normal when we experience stress. However, the resources below might give you some ideas on how to look after your nutrition.

Managing Your Mood

The video below has a range of tips on how to manage your mood with food, from eating a rainbow a day to a reminder that to include healthy fats and protein in your diet.

Plan Ahead

Sometimes it can feel daunting to put together a healthy meal at the last minute, particularly if you are hungry and the fridge doesn’t have all of the ingredients you need. To make life easier, why not try using our  meal planner? It can be used to map out your meals for the week, has space for your shopping list and even has information on the benefits of mindful eating.

Budgeting and Reducing Waste

From batch cooking to brain-boosting dishes, our guide to cooking at home aims to help your budget stretch further.
