On the 29 April, we will be watching Taraz, a 2016 Kazakh thriller by Nurtas Adambay, with English subtitles. The film will be introduced by Batir Xasanov, a PhD student of Russian Studies at the University of Manchester.

Once upon a time in the city of Taraz, a bunch of friends goes to a nightclub and find themselves in a tricky situation after a conflict with the son of a local mobster.
