Poetry Emergency ii: a northwest radical poetry festival is a two-day festival exploring emergency and liveness in radical poetic art, taking place in Salford and Manchester on 22nd and 23rd November 2019. We hope that some of you will join us!

On Friday we’ll be at the University of Salford for a day of workshops, followed by a keynote performance from the one & only ALICE NOTLEY entitled ‘Play for 26 Voices (in which the author as a community of voices of the dead discusses Everything.)’
We will end the evening with performances from Luna Montenegro & Adrian Fisher, Jazz Linklater, Scott Thurston & Gemma Collard-Stokes, plus two short films from Fatema Abdoolcarim.

Saturday will involve a day full day of poetry and performances at No.70 Oxford Street, plus an open discussion about poetry and pay. In the evening we will move over to the Castle on Oldham Street for evening of poet’s theatre.
