[Article] “Hearing people perceiving deaf people through sign language interpreters at work”

The Journal of Applied Communication Research have recently published the article titled “Hearing people perceiving deaf people through sign language interpreters at work: on the loss of self through interpreted communication”, authored by the researchers Alys Young, Rosemary Oram and Jemina Napier. This is a study on hearing people perceiving deaf people in the workplace, and its conclusions addresses the impact of phonocentrism on working practices between deaf and hearing people.
