Prof Abel provides expertise in schizophrenia, trial design and senior oversight of the trial.
Dr Lesley-Anne Carter (Lead Statistician)

Dr Carter provides expertise in trial design and statistics, and supervises the statistics research assistant.
Professor Katherine Berry (Lead Supervisor)
Professor of Clinical Psychology, The University of Manchester and HCPC-registered Consultant Clinical Psychologist
Professor Berry’s main area of expertise is attachment theory and therapeutic relationships in people experiencing psychosis.
She currently works on the Manchester clinical psychology training programme, and as a clinical psychologist in mental health rehabilitation.
Professor Berry provides clinical expertise to our trial therapist as a lead supervisor and provides clinical assessment training to our site research assistant.
Professor Linda Davies
Professor of Health Economics Research, The University of Manchester
Professor Davis has experience in the economic evaluation of interventions for people with mental health problems and provides expertise in health economics.
Professor Anthony Morrison

In addition to providing expertise in trial design, Prof Morrison facilitates service access and provides expertise in trialling psychological interventions.

Dr Shubulade Smith

Dr Smith was appointed a CBE in 2019 for services to forensic psychiatric intensive care.
Her role in this project is to provide expertise in transcultural and forensic psychiatry, and mental health policy.

Dr Codjoe’s role in this project is to provide expertise in transcultural psychology.
Professor Swaran Singh

Prof Singh’s expertise is in transcultural psychiatry.
Professor Richard Drake
Consultant Psychiatrist, Division of Psychology & Mental Health, The University of Manchester
Professor Drake’s role is trial design, liaison with clinical services, and providing expertise in culturally-adapted and other psychosocial intervention trials in schizophrenia.
He will provide input on the peer support component of the study.
Professor Gillian Doody
