Introduction to Master's Study

Interested in studying a master’s, but not sure what it will actually be like? Unsure whether you are prepared for the level of work required? Curious as to what types of master’s courses students from your subject area go on to do?

We held two seminar sessions on 17 October to answer just these sorts of questions. They were put together to give you an idea of the types of course that students in your subject area typically go on to do, and what the step up from undergraduate to master’s study is actually like in practice.

  • You can catch up here by watching the podcast.
Master's study: a practical guide to applying and funding

Want to know more about the ‘how’ of master’s admissions, and find out more about funding? Come along to our informal seminar, where we’ll go over the admissions process and how to put in a competitive application. We’ll also have detailed information on funding, including how the master’s loan works. You’ll also hear from admissions staff, funding advisers, academic tutors and current master’s students, who will share their tips. We’ll make sure you have plenty of time to put your own questions to all the speakers during the session.

One-hour seminar, taking place on two dates:

Meet a Postgrad: speed networking and mentoring scheme

Meet current postgrads 1:1 at our speed networking event on 5th December, or sign up to our mentoring scheme.
