There is a charge for contact lenses and spectacles if these are ordered through the clinic. Our prices are highly competitive compared with many high street providers.
What happens at appointments?
The student optometrist will ask detailed questions about:
- Your eyesight and eye health
- Current or previous spectacles
- Contact lens wear
- General health and medications
- Any symptoms or concerns you may have
Specialist equipment will be used to assess your vision, determine any spectacle prescription required and examine the health of your eyes, including digital retinal photography and OCT, where clinically appropriate.
Depending on your needs, your appointment may also include:
- Contact lens discussions and fittings
- Additional eye health investigations
- Monitoring of existing eye conditions
- Advice regarding treatment options and ongoing care
As appointments are closely supervised by a qualified optometrist and may involve teaching activities, please allow up to two hours for your visit.
