We are delighted to announce that Dr Takanori Furukawa has been awarded the University of Manchester, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion “Perera” Fellowship. In his fellowship project, Dr Furukawa aims to determine the role of epigenetic mechanisms in environmental adaptation, fungal pathogenicity, and the emergence of antifungal resistance in the human pathogenic mould Aspergillus fumigatus.
