New Clinical Placement Supervisor (CPS) workshop
Clinical Placement Supervisors in the community and hospitals are key to our students’ learning in the clinical environment and we are so grateful for anyone wishing to take on this vital and rewarding role.
This is a role for doctors who are post-CCT (only).
As a new Clinical Placement Supervisor (CPS), you will attend this PRiME Core workshop with other colleagues who are also new to the role, and have a meeting with your Clinical Education Campus (CEC) Staff Development, Community Team Locality Academic Lead or Year Lead to learn about the role and how to get started specifically in your clinical location.
This first workshop will help you with teaching on clinical placements, learn about the MB ChB and feel ready to start. We will cover how to give effective feedback and give you an introduction to clinical reasoning.
You will also be asked to commit to the PRiME Advanced Clinical Reasoning in Practice workshop, which is crucial to understand the MB ChB programme and core to your role as a CPS to be completed within 6 months, and available to book through our PRiME Advanced page.
Please attend this workshop on a computer/laptop (rather than a phone/tablet) and ensure that you are able to put your camera and microphone on so that you can participate.
The following workshops will be run on Microsoft Teams. Please ensure you are logged into Teams using the email you have registered with ahead of the start of the meeting, and please join a few minutes ahead of the start time. If you are more than 10 minutes late, you will need to register for another future session.
If you wish to attend one of these, please register at least 12 hours ahead of the start time, using the following links:
