What advice would you give your younger self now about being young and growing older?
Enjoy your teenage years. Take time to learn more, and don’t be afraid to make decisions.
I was born in 1939 spent my teen years in Millom Cumbria, I started work at 15 at our local printing company, doing general collating, numbering and proof reading, I worked my way to the office and finished after 8 years as secretary. I spent 26 years away in different parts of England and Nigeria, returned back to base (Millom) in 1989.
As a teenager I did not ever think of touring the world. My husband was in the merchant navy when we married. We had our 3 children in England.
Now aged 80 I think I would like to see a bit more of England
The first photo was taken in July 1959 on honeymoon I was only 19 when I married. in 2019 we celebrated our 60th Anniversary, on board the Oriana’s last voyage.
