ManCAD CAPers conference (Clinical Audiology Papers) titled ‘Audiology in a Diverse World’
Based on the considerable positive feedback we have received, we are going to hold a second edition of ManCAD CAPers in 2026.
The event will take place on September 10th and 11th 2026 at the Contact Theatre in Manchester – an art space that promotes diversity and that is affiliated with the University of Manchester.
The meeting will focus on clinical research addressing ‘Audiology in a diverse world’ including way’s that different languages and dialects affect speech understanding; genetic diversity and gene therapy; consideration of diversity when using AI for hearing care; how culture and background influence the uptake and acceptance of hearing care.
There will be submitted and invited presentations, a panel discussion with members of local minority communities, and an evening poster session.
If you are a researcher, audiologist, early career scientist, or student with an interest in clinical audiology please consider attending this event.
Registration costs will be kept to a minimum and travel scholarships will be available.

Online journal club
We host monthly educational activities for our students and researchers about a current topic of interest in audiology with a journal club.
Our journal clubs are an informal forum for discussing a recent pertinent publication. They consist of a short presentation followed by an interactive discussion of thoughts and ideas arising from the paper.
