This Workshop aims to introduce Blackboard Ally, a tool that facilitates the accessibility of teaching materials in our VLE. Beyond this tool, the workshop will provide an opportunity to explore the student and staff experience of digital barriers, review available data on our institutional performance, develop awareness and discuss ways to increase engagement with digital inclusiveness against the background of the recent introduction in the UK of the Digital Accessibility Regulations.

Morning session (open to staff with representative or service role)

• 12:00 – 13:15: Our VLE and beyond – Digital Inclusiveness at Manchester
• 13:15 – 14:00: Sandwich Lunch

Afternoon session (open to all)

• 14:00- 16:00 Blackboard Ally – Hands on workshop (Bring your own device)
