On 24 March we will be watching Unbelievable Adventures of Italians in Russia (Neveroyatnye priklyucheniya italyantsev v Rossii), a 1974 joint SovietItalian comedy directed by Franco Prosperi and Eldar Ryazanov, with English subtitles. The screening will be followed by a wine reception and discussion club supported by the Anything but Research fund.

Plot: “The mad adventures of the mad Italians, searching for the mad treasures in the mad Russia.” 

Runtime:  98 min.

You will:

• see the incredible Andrei Mironov, a hugely acclaimed Soviet theatre and film actor.
• do treasure hunting in Leningrad – do not forget to bring a spade!
• learn the basics of lion taming and a matreshka stealth mode.
• prepare yourself physically for any adventure possible – running away from a lion and jumping between bridges are a small fraction of what you will do.
• Russian train lovers will enjoy their trip with the main characters.
