Advice clinics

Get one-to-one guidance from patient and public involvement and engagement teams, information governance experts and technology specialists to support you during your research.

Information governance clinic

As part of the Health Research from Home programme we are offering members of our community a unique opportunity to get detailed advice to advance their research. Our information governance (IG) clinics allow you to book a one-to-one, hour-long meeting with an IG expert.

Within the one-hour timeslot the IG expert will help you to identify and understand the IG issues related to your planned activities, and how you might go about resolving those issues. You can book onto to a single clinic session or a series of clinic sessions over time.

What can be covered in a clinic session?

Any IG issue related to a new, or current digital health research study including topics such as study set-up, applying for approvals, data classification, data collection, data flows, storage, and processing as well as data sharing.

How to book

You can book an IG Clinic by emailing hrfh@manchester.ac.uk

Prior to your meeting, you should have a clear idea of what to discuss and will be asked to send over information about this. This ensures the best use of both your time and our expert’s time.
