Meet Amanda

Hello, I am Amanda from Singapore, and I am currently studying BA (Hons) Architecture. Because I am interested in design, I have studied design-related subjects and courses even in my home country. I have always wanted to explore and learn more about the different aspects of design, be it fashion, commercial, illustration, or architecture; they all spark my interest.

The study of architecture is incredibly fascinating and exciting. Building design, construction, and maintenance are all part of it. The Greek word “architektura,” which means “the art of building,” is where the English word “architecture” originates. Architecture is a creative discipline that combines art, artisanship, and technology to create functional and aesthetically pleasing structures. In order to create structures that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional, architecture is a creative discipline that combines art, artisanship, and technology. It has become an art form that can be seen in every part of the world. The reason for this is that architects have come up with some wonderful designs and structures that are not only beautiful but also functional. They have been able to create buildings, homes, and other structures that are appealing to the eye as well as practical for everyday use. Architecture has always been a very important field of study because it allows people to express their creativity and build things out of nothing. Depending on their area of specialisation, graduates of the Manchester School of Architecture can choose from a wide variety of jobs. Students can find employment designing buildings or working on construction projects for architectural firms, while others can find employment with governmental organisations. This diversity, however, can be intimidating for some students who are unfamiliar with the world of architecture. It can be difficult at times, but it also has its share of enjoyable aspects. One of the most important and enjoyable things that I have learned in this field is how to work well with others. This may seem like an obvious thing to say, but it’s not always the case in this field because there are so many different personalities that you will come across during your time here at the Manchester School of Architecture.

When I think of a university student, the first thing that comes to mind is probably someone who is always on the go and has no time for themselves. Nothing could be further from the truth. Students are among the most outgoing people you will ever meet. They enjoy life and having fun. They also enjoy studying, which may appear to be a chore at times but is something they look forward to. The Manchester School of Architecture is particularly welcoming, as students are considered by both the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University. I am a full-time, final-year architecture student who adores being a part of two wonderful universities! Being part of both universities enables students to meet twice as many new people, make friends, and have a good time. Because it is your first semester away from home, the first semester of college can be overwhelming and stressful. However, once you’ve gotten used to campus life, it’s fun and exciting. On campus, students can take part in a variety of activities, such as sports teams, clubs, concerts, and dances. Going out with friends or having night-time parties is the most popular form of entertainment on campus. Going out with your friends allows you to socialise.
