When I read about the ITMB course, I knew it was the perfect place for me. Its focus on teaching you on how to effectively become the bridge between the ever-changing world of Technology and the fast-paced world of Business was something I really took an interest in after having an interest in these things all my life.

I came from a completely non-technical and non-business background, having been an actor most of my life. Whilst at first I felt I would be at a disadvantage, it turned out that ITMB doesn’t expect you to be an expert business manager or coder from Day 1; the course supports and teaches you from the foundations up to the end when you graduate. The camaraderie you build with your peers and academics from that first day to the last is something that I don’t see many other courses have, as we are usually a small, tight-knit cohort. That ability to build your first network, make really great friends and get to work with almost everyone throughout your time at university was crucial to my success.

ITMB’s best quality to me is its deep dedication to industry. We never just learnt theory, we got hands-on with practical work, met with and learnt from real employers across a variety of fields and solved real-world business and technology problems all thanks to the strong connection ITMB has to what we face as graduates. You really do walk in and get taught how to become future leaders in the workforce. We never just sat in a lecture hall learning the theory behind building enterprise-level technology solutions, we actually made them. A key highlight was the Integrative Team Project 1 which we tackled in our 1st Year, where we built a full, working mobile application to help solve a real business problem provided by a top financial services employer. The feedback we received from that during the biannual ITMB Showcase from not just the sponsors but a wide range of employers from across the country is a life-changing experience that only ITMB can provide.

There are too many other things to note. Our exclusive ITMB Lab in AMBS where you can study and connect with course mates. Our incredible ITMB Society who host both professional development events sponsored by real employers and socials for us to bond. Our incredible academics team who all work tirelessly to support us in our studies. Our incredible network of ITMB Alumni who regularly support us in our career development and come down to AMBS to deliver events and guest lectures. All of these things are proof that ITMB, in my opinion, provides an experience no other degree in the world can provide. The bonds you make with your coursemates, the incredible real-world projects you tackle and that dedication and passion from the whole of ITMB to develop you into a future technology and business leader was what I needed to excel and land myself in the success I have found today. I cannot recommend this incredible degree more, as it is not just a certificate you receive, it is a family you become a part of.
